Well people are trying to save money these days so not ordering XL is one way. I notice during surges it takes a minute to get rides sometimes and sometimes not. But people cancel rides when they see extra money added on. But they can’t avoid it certain times of the day. They just have to pay. Had one guy cancel 3 times in a row and I kept getting it with the $5.50 surge I got in my neighborhood. Cost him an extra $5 cancel fee the first time. Finally he realized if he wanted to get home he had to pay. Being cheap can cost you more sometimes. But when it’s busy especially the beach area on a Friday night there are so many drivers over there they don’t need a surge. They probably could and still get away with it but rarely see it till 1:30am when everyone is trying to get home. I just notice same areas at the same times everyday/certain days there are surges. It’s best to start at these times in these areas. When I start my day off with a surge ride I seem to get a few right after and really boost my income for that day. I can tell the difference if I start a little later sometimes due to unseen things needed done. I do like the $5 bar hopping rides on the weekends. I have to stop and vacuum out more because so many people in and out. But seems to make me go up to $30-$40hr. Easy. But seeing these patterns just seem to help which time of day to start and where to start.
