If ur just joining Uber in 2024 when 2013 – 2015 were the best years, I wish u the best. A horse gotta drink its own water..With the 81 mile trip you made for $105. That’s really a $75 trip Uber paid.. $30 tip you were lucky. How about gas, tolls, wear and tear is that calculated?
Drivers say not to join because it’s a trap if you do only rideshare. If this is a 2nd job or side hustle then cool it’s not your main source of income, don’t have any real expectations and you should be fine. You won’t feel as shafted as someone who does this 9-5 and has expectations everyday.
I started in 2013 and I stopped during the pandemic though most of my friends were done by 2016.. I stuck around and made enough to buy a house, so you won’t see me complain much, but I was lucky. Very lucky to start when it started in NYC and I rode that wave all the way to the “jab apocalypse”
Good luck and be safe out there
