Can UBER suggest detours?
When I come to a closed road or a traffic jam, in an unfamiliar area, I need help from UBER to find an alternative route. For now, I just start driving in an arbitrary direction and UBER will eventually show a new path to the destination. But that might not be the best direction to take.
Does UBER, or Google Maps, or Waze have a button to request a detour?

No but Google Maps often shows an alternate route and you just click on it to select it.
If your stuck in traffic, pinch to zoom out a little and see if one exists.
