• Compensation for lost wages after being rear ended from the insurance company

I was rear ended driving for Uber 2 weeks ago. Car working but I can’t take rides until it’s fixed. Uber needs pics. The damage is bad enough I can’t drive for Lyft either because of a back part panel of the vehicle is jutting out and could cut someone. I was offered a rental by his insurance company Allstate to keep driving but declined since I would have to purchase another phone mount. I sent them my last 4 weeks screenshots of driving part-time pay averaging 313.00 in missed $$$. Will his insurance pay it or do I have to sue them in small claims court? I’m sure this has happened to other folks so any advice or words of wisdom would be appreciated.

First of all, you would not have been able to use a rental supplied by Allstate, even though I think the phone mount issue shouldn’t have been a deal breaker…..anyway…… the only authorized rentals you can use for Ubering have to be rented by you…..from Hertz or Avis, and have to be rented through the Uber app….using your I.D and your credit card info….so Allstate would have to write you a check for that. As far as paying you missed wages…..this is only a guess but I wouldn’t think that would be something they would do. Maybe check with your own insurance and see what they say about it?
