Detroit market reservations don’t pay for time
So I guess we don’t get $0.60\min for reservations anymore. I got sent to an airport run about 20 min early on a reserve trip. I thought ah that’s alright, I’ll rack up some per minute charges while I wait. Used to do it all the time (I’ve been exclusively driving Lyft for the last year and only recently came back to Uber hell). Nope. Got paid the same as if I would’ve not sat there for 20 min. The pickup was for 630. I got there at 612 or some s h i t. Your app sent me there that early. I should be paid for the time I’m sitting there. And of course the guy was a f u c k i n g asshole too. As he was getting out I’m like, hey man you left your coffee and your other drinks in the cupholders.. He says, “oh, yeah, don’t worry about it we’re good” and runs away before I could say “hey a s shole, what I MEANT was get them the f u c k out of my car! I couldn’t care less if you HAVE your drink with you, I want you to take your f u c king garbage with you, I’m not your garbage disposal technician. Business trip white d o u c h ebags.. Entitlement personified
Anyway, let’s not take these reserve trips. Most of us don’t already. If we just put a little pressure in the right areas, like not accepting garbage trips, things can change. Lyft is a little different. Different side of the same coin, but at least with them you can talk to a real English speaking support agent, not the Indian sweatshop Uber connects you to. I’m sorry but I can’t understand those people at all, and I have Indian friends lol. I HAVE to use the chat otherwise I couldn’t get anything done. Lyft also has a working app, not promises of features that never materialize. I can see both addresses, pay, and rider info including a picture from the time I accept the trip. What does Uber have? None of that. And they say it’s for security reasons. BS. It’s so you don’t cancel.
