DON’T STRIKE REVOLT
Next Friday night turn the app on but don’t take any trips. The thinking is 2 fold:
First, make the app dance in the mud. If the algo is sending pings to every phone in your area and no one is accepting It will overwhelm the system. This will affect your acceptance rate but Dara Kashagoogoo won’t get his promised $50 million bonus and the big bankers who initiated this slave ship won’t like it either.
Second, if you can’t beat them, join them. All the non English speaking boarder crossing sleep 6 to a bed drivers who think they can take advantage will be driving for peanuts. With so many drivers on the platform there will be no surge and individual trip pay will drop like a stone. After 3 trips the algo will take you off line just tell it to keep you off then restart the app and start it again.
This must be organized as everyone has to do it at the same time. The only guarantee I make is that you will find it very satisfying when you realize Uber is not able to find rides for it’s passengers.
If we don’t join together Uber will only continue to screw us. -
