How do y’all handle pax when they have small children and no car or booster seat
There isn’t a day that goes by I don’t see a car wreck. I had a pax recently who was arguing about the trip to drop off her daughter was only 5 minutes away.
I told her I understood and I still couldn’t take them without a car seat…
The pax got a car seat and the ride was really quiet after we dropped her daughter off…. Until we went by an accident with a car turned upside down on their roof.
My pax was visibly shaken and I commented I see accidents every day.
The atmosphere in my car relaxed considerably. When I dropped her at work she thanked me for insisting on the car seat and promised to always have one in the future.
I felt vindicated for insisting. The reality is, my sister died as the result of a wreck where she wasn’t wearing a seat belt. Not long after her death I fell asleep at the wheel and wrecked. If not for my seatbelt I probably wouldn’t have survived. That was back in the 80’s. What are you’re experiences?
I try to be understanding of how different it is, especially for single, working moms trying to stay afloat and it’s still a nonstarter. No car seat, no ride. Unfortunately until all drivers adhere to these rules pax will continue to push the limits….
