Made the mistake of working in Lakeland, Florida after ending up there this morn
I probably should have bit the bullet and deadhead back to my normal home territory in Tampa/St Pete, but I guess I was a glutton for punishment, plus traffic was bad as always going in the direction, so I stayed put in Lakeland. Check out some of these offers. No idea how anyone is making any money out there.
What’s crazy is that the demand out there seemed to overwhelm the supply of drivers, as the pings were coming nonstop. You’d think this would lead to better offers, but the algorithm thought otherwise, I guess.
It’s like more available work = we can pay them less for their time and effort, in Uber and Lyft’s eyes.
Note, that this one even has a $2 bonus associated with it…
I did a trip two days ago for 40 minutes less, 30 miles less, that paid
$90 more than this next one…
