Oh the dangers of Uber Eats 😮
I rented a hotel suite for a week, then hurt my back so I’d figure I would be stuck inside quite a bit as I could barely move.
So I ordered Uber Eats…I was hungry… 😢
20 minute delivery time once he left, I estimate about 15 miles at 60 mph via the freeway he took. I asked the driver to show me his pay from Uber. $17, the tip didn’t show yet.
Good thing for couriers is though is on Uber Eats there is 10% 14% 18% and 20% tipping amounts like what wait staff have. (I tipped 10% at first then upped it to 14% plus a $20 cash tip when he arrived)
On Uber rides the customer is only shown sh*t tips amounts of $1, $3 and $5 😢
Who gets all that tip on the app is unknown, likely it comes in later as it wasn’t showing on his app yet.
So I figured sustainable amount he should get at least $30, $1 per odometer mile back and forth to the restaurant. Plus labor as he had to deliver to my suite.
So he got $17 + $44 + $20 = $81 😁
That’s if Uber gives him 100% of his $44.
Dangerous app when your hungry and disabled. 😞
But my suites full size fridge is full of food just in case.
