• Reservation and Cancellation:

So on Thursday I had a Reservation and the guy never showed up, so I cancelled on him, and left when the timer allowed me, and was paid twenty-two dollars and some change.

Well yesterday around noon when I was looking at my totals I noticed my money was less, and I checked and sure enough Uber deducted the cancellation fee from my earning with the claim I started the trip and ended it, so I was not entitled too the cancellation fee.

I contacted Uber and pointed out that would be impossible seeing I never started the trip, the guy never showed and to check the texts to see that I even told the guy where I was parked so they could find me at the Hotel, so they owed me the money, and sure enough they put it right back!

The guy made a false claim so he could get out of paying the cancellation fee, and that made me so mad!

First off he was sent a message via Uber that I was there and he was angry I showed up early and told me he wouldn’t be at the car at 3:50 pm when he scheduled the ride, I was fine with that.

When 3:50 came he sent another message that I needed to wait and he would be a little late, so I told myself I will give him until the timer elapses and then cancel, and that is what happened.

I guess he was upset that a driver didn’t wait until he was ready to get in and be driven, but riders need to learn that there are limits and that one pushed it.

Anyhoo, Uber quickly reversed their decision and paid me but what upset me is that people who fail to show up for their ride when they reserved it and then claim fraud really makes me mad!

I even told Uber I never cancel unless it is the last resort and if I cancel it is because the person never showed.

Also, I told them the Hotel has video cameras and have the Pax describe me and I told Uber the Pax wouldn’t be able to do so seeing they never got into my vehicle and never saw the person.

I understand people hate to pay nearly fifty dollars for their failure to get into the ride but don’t lie and try to claim fraud because it will bite you later!

I also told Uber no more reservations because the pay isn’t worth the time I waste waiting for those people and then have someone make false claims.

Funny part is that was my second day returning to driving Pax’s and it made me realize picking up food was still better!
