Reservation, rider NO SHOW
Chicago Suburb/Wilmette…..going to Midway….$44
Arrived 20 min. early for 9am pick up. 9:10, no activity
at house. I’ve been sitting in front for 30 min.I cancelled ride. Rec’d $18
Notified Uber Support and asked why I get a partial payment $18.
Response from Uber: If rider cancels within hour of pick up they get charged 100%My response to Uber Support: Interesting? So, the rider knows if he/she cancels
the ride within one hour, they pay 100%. If they don’t cancel and drivers been waiting
for extended time past the pick up time, cancels.
In my case waited 30 min. and canceled 10 min. after pick up time…..rider will
save money. Uber makes money, Rider saves money, Driver gets screwed and makes
partial. Approx. 40% of original quoted price. WOW! -
