• Surges

I’ve noticed lately when I’m in an area with a surge it takes longer to get a ride and the ride usually isn’t even in that surge(red area). If more people are needing rides than drivers why does it take so long to get a ride? This is with Uber also. I have Lyft but haven’t started using it yet. On 4th of July there were plenty of surges up to $22 and got a ride asap! But other times it seems almost useless to ride over to surge area unless it’s super close or already in it?
