Oh dear …. !!
Did you get the news in your inbox ?? Taxi’s can now sign up for Uber Rideshare !!
The same taxis who had a whole advertising campaign falsely dissing the Uber platform, whilst insinuating that the driver’s and their vehicles were substandard, unvetted, etc. !!
Did you know that as of the year 2020 there were 33,488 registered taxis in Australia? WOW!! Imagine how many rides we’re going to miss out on if only a fraction of them sign into the Uber platform !!
And don’t kid yourself that they will suddenly raise their service standard, keep their smelly cars clean, accept short journeys, offer to help with luggage etc., and be friendly and/or chatty to riders (where applicable), just because they now have an Uber sticker in their windshield. They will seriously bring the reputation of Rideshare, and in particular UBER, down to their filthy standard. Will they break the Uber rules as blatantly as they break this lands laws, and rip riders off by doing “cashies” ?? I personally wouldn’t trust them. I am not happy, Jan. !!!! -
