Trip has a stop. Rider doesn’t return. What to do?
Rather new driver with 55+ rides given. Had rider with a stop at a Days Inn. Got out saying he just needed to pick up his keys he left. BRB. Didn’t go into lobby, but walked around corner. I waited. Had to move from front door so pulled up into parking place. Sent him a message (6 minutes waiting) where I moved to. No response. After 8 minutes, reminded him I’m still waiting. No response. At 10 minutes, asked how much longer? No answer. After 12 minutes, called him. No answer. At this point I had looked up and down the exterior corridors, couldn’t see him. For some reason he’d ghosted me and that pissed me off. At 15 minutes of waiting, I left and ended the ride. Later, I noticed a 1* review, which really pissed me off and affected my rating since I don’t have hundreds of 5’s yet. What could I have done different?
