Uber/Lyft. If Their Low Pay Won’t Kill You Their Customers Will
I’m telling you this straight out folks, doing this ride-sharing or delivery gig is extremely dangerous and shouldn’t be done by anyone, anyone who wants to live or live without being traumatized.
The public is hostile, it’s a plain as that.
Think like a criminal who’s just nailed themselves a stolen phone and has only a limited time to use it before it’s shut off.
1: Order Uber Eats

2: Order Uber/Lyft

3: Hold the driver at gunpoint and take everything they got, dump them on the street and take off in their car.

4: If a pretty frail woman, rape her. Extra bonus.

5: If they resist or gain physical evidence, like fingernail scrapes, shoot them and burn the car at the nearest gas station.

6: Enjoy the ride and earn your local gangs patch.
This is being done routinely and consistently across the country, small towns to big cities
There is nothing the police, Uber or Lyft can do about it.
Now you know why Uber and Lyft fight tooth, nail and claw to keep it’s driver’s and couriers independent contractors, why there is arbitration requirements to work for them, to protect the company from lawsuits because Uber and Lyft are intentionally putting you into harms way.
I feel very bad ordering an Uber only to see a sweet young woman trying to make a few extra bucks for her children showing up oblivious to the danger and risk she is taking doing this sort of work.
So newbie folks, take a look in our News Forum for gruesome stories of what’s happening to driver’s and even the public by these gig companies.
Will robotaxis save the day? Heck no, their costs are huge although some cash heavy companies like Google and Tesla could subsidize robotaxis, the fact is they are not nearly as profitable as drivers using their own vehicles with the low compensation they offer.
