  1. good video. my best postmates was a grocery store pickup.. the customer was kinda vague with shopping items like 1 doz cookies..? i had to call and ask if choc chip or snickerdoodle or peanut butter..etc but the total was over 50 bucks and a very nice tip.. wish there was a grocery shopper app. I would be all over that.

  2. when it comes to orders where you have to place it at the restaurant, I always call it in. Not every place will take call ahead orders but seems like most do. even if I am only 5 minutes away, I call and that puts me ahead of everyone who places their order in person within that 5 minutes. makes paying faster too because they have the order ready and can just pull it up.

  3. I would also suggest making a mental note of which merchants are slow. Ive got screwed so many times dealing with certain restaurants. And great point about avoiding downtown areas, it not worth the trouble at all unless its a highend area that may tip well. Other than that no way, Ive had times delivering downtown where i had to pay $5 to park to make a $4 delivery with no tip ???

  5. Thanks so much for explaining this. This is so helpful! Yeah, it's tough working in a college town. It's good that the customers are not all college kids. That does help. I noticed that the tips I received one day were issues with the food and I had to text them about the delay and they appreciated that. So, I think the texting might be helpful. I'm going to try an experiment soon and write a little note with each order saying thank you for ordering postmates with a little mint/chocolate to see if that helps with the tips.
