More rule changes possible for taxi and ride-share services in Calgary

Some of the proposed amendments include allowing taxi brokerages to set their own meter rates, a requirement for ride-share passengers and drivers to report complaints through 311, and a rule that all vehicle-for-hire drivers must provide an inspection certificate that is no more than 30 days old. (Currently, taxi inspection certificates can be no more than 14 days old — a rule that does not apply to Uber or Lyft).
