Very informative video. I bought the Dome (via your link). How does one get the IR lights to go on? Should I keep it in auto or night mode?

Great video mate. I am buying my Transcend 520 from B&H today! Can't wait. Will let you know how it goes.
Hey good to see a new video! ?
I was checking your YouTube channel a few times hoping you'd uploaded new reviews, good to see you're back.
As always, great review!
Would you recommend one of these or the A119 (v2) or other Viofo dash cam for a normal user (no taxi)
I don't think I would need the in car view, but want best video quality (day and night) and reliability for a budget price.
What would you recommend?
Cheers from the UK
Rob
What is the best setting for my dash cam that supports 1440p 30 FPS or 1080p 60 FPS?? Currently im using 1440p at 30 FPS but am i better off using 60 FPS option? It is a spytect a119
6:39min Where did you see GS65H support 64GB micro sd card?
The amazon sales page says "Micro sd card : SD card(Class 10 or above,Max support 32G,8-32G Kingston /Samsung /SanDisk memory card) "
Can I turn off the motion detection of DOME GS65H?
Is there any way to make the dome 4 led bulb black? Can I use a black marker pen to color the 4 led?
Is the Dome inwards facing lens more noticeable than the Transcend camera inwards facing lens? It seems like the 4 led of the Dome is more white and noticeable.
Amazing detailed honest review. Thanks.
can you please review this camera please

was this recorded with a panasonic gh4?
Asian guy in the front, black guy in the back.
What could POSSIBLY go wrong?
Great video with great research. I have a question, would you recommend the Vantrue Dual Dash Cam with the purchase of the IR light?
Do you have a recommendation for a hot weather cam with wifi, a good pic that can swivel on the base and be removed on a really hot day. Phoenix AZ -thanks
Keep up the good work. Just bought the Dome. I'll let you know if anything pops up!
Andrew, Could you please dig in your extensive knowledge on dash cam to recommend something that would work for motorcycle?
Those action cams you can see on helmets are far from perfect. To much fussing with battery, SD cards, positioning…
Thank you.
Hi Andrew,
Here in Australia, I can only seem to find the Transcend Drivepro 520 "suction mount", which I purchased, However do you know where I can purchase the adhesive mount for it separately else where?
Have you tried the Anker Roav dash cam? I've been looking into it but would love to see a review from you before I decide whether or not to purchase it.
Question, have you ever tested the kdlink? And thoughts on the quality ?
Hi Andrew, really enjoy watching your reviews. Any chance you can review the Chinese brand name 360 dash cam? The model is J501C. Is a budget dash cam and it seem's to have a lot the positive feedback at taobao.com. So I really really want you to make a video about it and see what you think.
I recently bought a dash cam with no memory card. The box that came with it says that the memory card needs to be a TC card. I'm wondering what the difference is between a SD card and a TC card.
I've watched a few of your reviews. Something I'd like to see is what length the files are? As an example, we use DoD dash cams at work; each file is ~30min in length. Some of our previous dash cams had 15min per file; and we even had one that separated the files every 2min (that one went back right away).
Anyway, nice reviews.
how did you order from Amazon? They don't ship to Canada.
My personal reviews in a nutshell:
A119 – Clear motion, but not so clear stills. No noticeable rolling distortion, mic is a little weak, CPL filter (Poliarizer) not built in, nor is GPS. Motion sensor is acceptable 3.5/ 5
Vantrue X2 – Horrible Motion, ghosting in stills too. Noticeable rolling distortion when vibrations apply. No CPL Filter or option to buy, GPS is optional. Motion Sensor (Parking) is GREAT. 2.5/5
Opia 2 – Clear motion, clear stills, HORRIBLE DISTORTION, horrible colour saturation. NOT WORTH THE PRICE 2/5
Overall the A119 is the best dashcam for price and especially quality!
Excellent informative videos!
I wonder what type of dash cam police use on their cruiser? What brand? What ever they use that's what I want on my vehicle.
Thanks for this review! This has helped me tremendously!!
I wonder how the vantrue dash cam would record at night with the added IR light?
I would like to buy a dashcam with front and rear cameras, which one do you suggest me to purchase?
Thanks for your time.
Hi,Andrew.
Saw your revues . Its really great job men ))) Can you advise a dash cam?
i need something with good video quality in day and night time and enable to start make video when i locked my car ,go home, and someone is walking around my car)) budget is 100-200usd.
You have wonderful reviews!!! I really like everything you have done and must say I'm totally sold on the Viofo A119!!!
However, I am going to start driving for Uber/Lyft and need to have a good night vision/IR option. I really like your idea about the Transcend 520 with an IR light projector. Though, how many light projectors did you use? Did you place them in different positions in your vehicle? For example, if I purchased the Transcend and installed only the IR projector you listed above would that be sufficient or should four IR projectors be installed (in the four corners of the car)?
What would be a good option overall for someone who would like night options? Could two Viofo A119s setup (one front and one rear) with another camera for facing passengers be doable or would it be cheaper/more cost effective to just buy a Thinkware F770 at that point? What about installing LED floor lighting to help bring more light into the interior of the car?
Again, thank you for your AWESOME reviews!!!
Super videos, saw quite a few from your channel and I am still confused between Yi Car cam or Drive Pro 520.
Hey dude are you from Chicago ;0?
