  5. I hadn't heard about this incident before, but having read the article now and seen the video, I don't see what the big deal was. The guy challenged him, he challenged him back. From my perspective he did not flip out or anything. I must admit that the driver lost me when he said "you could charge whatever you want", I hate that kind of reasoning.

  7. Sure, Uber may not offer the best conditions. But in this case, the driver began to complain and not the opposite. The driver has full control over the decisions he makes in his life so if he chose to work (and continue to work) for Uber, he also chose to accept the conditions they offer and the consequences that go with it.

    Uber was initially (as already said in the comments below) advertised as a side business to make extra money with your car, not as a full time job. Plus, they give you the opportunity to make several hundreds (if not thousands) without any diploma, just signing in on a website and providing an ID. You cannot expect a load of money with a "job" that's that easy to get. Otherwise, everyone would do it and quit their full time job.

    I am not affiliated to Uber or anything but it makes me mad to see that people just complain so easily while the CEO didn't actually do anything wrong with that driver. The press manipulates everyone so easily.

    That's true that Uber should offer better conditions and not change the rates all the time, it's a pain for drivers and I can understand that. But Uber is not meant to be a full time job and if you work for them, YOU chose to do it and YOU accepted their conditions.

    I know that many people will comment telling that I am cold hearted and that some people don't have other choice than to work for Uber. That's true for many drivers but that's not Uber's responsibility. Everyone has their own life path and that's the way it is. Life if full of decisions followed by consequences (positive/negative) and no one other than ourselves have the power to make those decisions.

  11. How the fuck does a glorified taxi driver get himself into 90k+ in debt who the fuck would credit him that amount? He's obviously the fucking idiot and the only people who feel sorry for this foreign piece of shit are liberal s scumbags who never worked a day in their life, or handled large sums of money and could see the idiocy in this driver's decisions.

  12. Many new generation business owners seem to have abandoned the art of pubic relations, and it always leads to their downfall. There was a time not too long ago when you did not try, and make your business a part of a political discussion by either stating your own political interests, or arguing with political opponents. Libertarians used to constantly reminds their critics that businesses don't make political decisions, and look at what we have now. Many business leaders can't stop themselves from making political decisions, and causing distress for their shareholders. We've entered a brave new world of public discourse, and it doesn't look like it's going to end well for anyone.

THESE BASTERS ARE STEALING FROM GOVERMENT AND FOOLING DRIVERS AND ABUSING THEM ! ALL THE DRIVERS NEED TO SIGN OFF IN THE MAJOR CITIES FOR A WEEK AS A STRIKE AT ONCE AND LET THIS BASTERD FEEL IT THERE ARE OTHER FARE COMPANIES ARE OUT THERE LIKE LYFT AND GET ME WHICH PAY YOU WAT U DESERVE FOR LESS AMOUNT OF TIME THAT PEOPLE WASTE FOR THIS TRAVIS BASTERD COMPANY ! PEOPLE NEED TO THINK DEEP ABOUT UBER TRICKS AND DRIVER CAN TURN THIS COMPANY UPSIDE DOWN! THERE ARE OTHER RIDE SHARING COMPANIES READY TO PAY GOOD ! AND RIDERS WILL SWTICH TO THEM IF DRIVERS MAKES THE FIRST SMART MOVE AS A TEAM IF NOT THEN SHAME ON YOU MAKING 3.66 MINIMUM FOR 30 MINS AND UP.
