Let’s take a look at the new Ubereats payout structure for Los Angeles and why I think this is bad news for drivers.

Yes, that's what they are doing. I'm a new driver and noticed during my first pay statement that one of the deliveries was only about 2$, so much lower than it should have been with pick-up fee. I asked customer support and they confirmed that they only pay the pick up fee once on batched orders. So, all you are getting on that second order is the drop off fee and mileage. The person send me a statement different from the one visible in the app, that actually included a "1,75$ discount" on each order. So, they make it 1,75$ each, so it is not as noticeable and most drivers probably don't realize it. Also, for newer drivers, they are taking a 35% cut now. Without the guarantees, I'd make maybe 2/3 of minimum wage at most. I'm really looking for alternatives and have signed on with Door Dash, hoping it would be better. Are there any others that you can recommend in the Los Angeles area? I'd be in Hollywood/Beverly Hills/West LA mostly. I know this is no way to get rich, but I'd hope to make at the very least minimum wage and hopefully more to cover my expenses, such as gas. There's got to be some company out there that treats its drivers right.
I loved ubereats before. Since the lower pricing I can't do it. I am making 1/3rd of what I used to make!
I quit eats my fist 3 deliveries! no tips, no way jose!
That's crazy, I never liked Ubereats because of the no tipping option, They play with the numbers too much to earn real money in my opinion.
What do my fellow drivers think about this? More smoke and mirrors from Uber?
