  1. I am considering driving uber with the goal to only make $50 a week. Do you think that I should take 10% out of my income and put it away for when I file my tax return at the end of the year? I know that I will owe the IRS driving with uber since its non tax income and they mail you a 1099-MISC.

  2. WoW!! I was a bit discouraged, especially considering purchasing a car, because I do need one anyway. I figured Uber was a good idea & way to help pay for it. Thank you, thank you, thank you. There is hope :-). definitely a new follower/ Subbie!!!!!

  3. Great information on the Uber gas card, I have it but never used it only because Uber tells me only certain gas stations in Chicago accept the card. Not sure how true this is or if this occurs where you drive. Any tips you can provide would be ideal.

Also after doing my taxes and using the Uber tax information sheet and car related expenses I still owe 600 in taxes is that correct or am I missing something?

  4. So…when the year is all said and done, do you end up owing the government? Or do you find yourself with a refund? Since nothing is taken from your fares throughout the year (income tax , social security, Medicaid)

  5. What do you know about creating an LLC for transportation company so I can drive under the company, but I already have an other LLC for a complete different business. If you know how, let me know like how to register the new LLC under first LLC and how to apply for the new LLC EIN thank you

  6. The air I breathe flows in and out of business corporations when I deliver food with Uber eats…. so those businesses who get a fraction of my time a percentage of their revenue should go in my pocket. I should expect a 0.015 percent check of all the businesses I've delivered food to tax free. 😛

  7. The reason why Uber has 400 million results on Google is because Uber is an actual word in German and it's been used as slang for over 20 years by generation x and millennials. Lyft on the other hand isn't even a real word. So when you search Google for Lyft you're only getting results from the actual business.

I get that you're just trying to make a point. And I don't really care one way or the other I don't really use either service. I agree Uber is more popular.

  8. Thank you so much for your information, we just got our tax return statement and it shows twice more income, looks like UBER includes their fees too, paid to them. We made max $2000 per month, the statement shows $4-5KIs this right?
